Charles Roff (1952-2017), was born near Inverness, Scotland, and brought up in Rhodesia and Iran. After studying Film and Photography in Nottingham, he exhibited his photographs of portraits, landscapes, and nudes in the UK, France, USA, Germany, and Japan between 1977 and 2002.
Roff presents a delectable collection of female figure studies, with a few other photos thrown in for fun. The settings vary: some indoor, some outdoor, some set against landscapes. Most photos show individual models; most of the rest show female couples, often with gently sapphic overtones. Although the majority of models pose nude, some appear partly clothed. Lingerie or peekaboo shots with a flipped skirt or opened blouse emphasize more than they conceal, and a snug pair of daisy dukes definitely say more about the wearer than the things worn.
